Giuseppe Zanotti at his most elemental, circa 2006-2008. Cream leather cross-strap sandals set on a natural wood platform and block heel, with long ribbon-like leather ties that wrap high around the ankle and calf.
The standout detail: a cascading chain of brushed gold oval medallions at the ankle, adding weight and drama to an otherwise clean silhouette. The combination of raw wood and refined gold hardware is a signature tension of Zanotti's archive work from this period.
